My Personal Spirit Encounters

I thought it would be interesting to share some of my  past experiences.
I am a natural Psychic ~Medium. I was Blessed with an assortment of abilities~
Some are stronger than others.

I have used a variety of tools over the years. Including Tarot, Gypsy Witch,
Playing cards, Crystals, Gemstone Spheres, Water Transference,  to name a few. 

The 1st experience I can remember,  was when I was about 2 years old. 
It was in the form of a dream or nightmare. ( Actually a Premonition ) 

It was of my Mother's car. I had a re-ocurring dream of this car chasing me, it had no driver. It was terrifying. Same dream , night after night. I knew something bad was connected to that car. My family tried to reassure me ~ just a Bad Dream.

As young as I was ~ I knew better , but I didn't understand it. This went on for a couple of weeks. My mother wrecked the car. She was on an old concrete bridge over the Mohawk River, She hit a patch of Black Ice. The car was spinning and hit the concrete poll or Pillar. Actually , some were light posts. She took hers down. Until that bridge was replaced , we would always point to that pole. That was my Mother's Pole.

I began to see  Spirits or Ghosts at about 3 or 4. Began speaking to Spirits at about age 4 or 5. 
My mother would always ask-"Who are you talking to"?  (I am an only child). 

I used to play in the attic. We had a 3 room attic. The one room was teeny and just for storage of small stuff. 
There was another storage , but it was a good size. Some things were in there from previous owners,  including 3 Old Trunks. I was sure the trunks belonged to the pirates that were hanging around the attic , to be exact .
I could see clearly 2 male Spirits,dressed as though they were pirates or from that time line. I feel they were connected to the trunks more than the house or land, but
not really sure. They reminded me of pirates. I called them the pirate men when I was small. 
Mom thought ~ Imaginary Friends ~ or Vivid imagination. 

There was always this vision, or daydream of an older woman, like a Grandmother.  Along with her was a log cabin, a covered wagon. I felt it was somewhere out west. Kind of dry and drab. Colorless. The items that stick with me the most is a pretty Tea set. China or porcelain. White with little purple flowers. I always felt this was connected to the lady. As though she may have come from wealth at one time. Family heirloom.
Maybe a connection to a past life , more than an actual Spirit encounter ?
That house had plenty of activity.

Later in years, the attic was remodeled into a Living Room / Bedroom for me. 
I always felt uncomfortable in that room. Like someone was watching me.
I could feel eyes on my back. Of course my family just thought vivid imagination.

Most places I have lived have had Spirit Activity of some sort or another,  as they have mostly been older buildings.

At 18, I lived in an apartment that always had a cold spot in the foyer.
The cat would hiss at nothing , tail big , fur ruffled. I said it was the resident ghost. Things would be moved. Sometimes never to be found. I could feel a presence but could never see anyone, Spirit or otherwise. I always felt it was a male and he meant no harm. Prankster.

The next encounter with Spirit activity was on the 3rd floor, above a closed Restaurant / Bar.
Lights would go on and off by themselves, A strong smell of Cigarette smoke and  voices coming from the bar area of the restaurant and into the living room. I even reported the episodes to the police, who investigated to find the place locked tight and no one down there.
The building has since been torn down ~nothing left but an empty lot.

In the mid 80's I had many strange encounters, especially, in my house. There was a buzzing, like a stuck doorbell. It sounded as though it was inside the wall. There were no wires of any kind in that wall.

There was a very unpleasant male Spirit connected to that home, or the land it sits on.
My daughter had a scary encounter with him when she was about 3.
It was time for bed. She had not been in bed long enough to fall asleep , and she runs down the stairs , screaming, " he slapped me" !! 
We were home alone. So ~ I asked Who slapped you ? The man , the mean man with glasses. I went upstairs to check it out , to find no one there.  I would have freaked out if there was. This male was mean or angry. 
You could see him walking through the house at night, when the lights were out. He made the house smell of Cigar Smoke.
I wanted him to leave. To go on to where he was meant to be, not bound to our home.
I attended a Psychic Fair in Albany, NY.One of the Psychics came from the other end of the event to approach me about this Spirit.
She gave me a piece of Rose Quartz ,along with Instructions on how to do a Smudging Ritual, which, by the way,  I still use today.
I performed the Ritual to send him on his way, Smudged the House.
It worked very Well. 

Mid 1980's-Early 1990's I was employed in a lounge/bar that was part of a busy Motel.  It had a ton of activity.
( More ways than one ) Doors would open and or  close by themselves. 
You would hear someone talk to you, look up,Guess what ? No one there. 
This woman in a blue dress with white sweater ~ Blonde ~ she used to come at closing. She never spoke, only stood watching me.
When I asked the owners about her,  I was told I had her job. She was their Mom , and the Previous Owner. She and her late husband had built it from the ground up.She must have been watching to see I was doing it right.

In the late 80's, I lived in an apartment where the water faucets would turn on in the night. You could hear the water hitting the metal sink. Go check- Dry as a bone. Mostly harmless pranks. turning on the fan, turning it off. Connection to the land, the building was too new.

Early 90's, Messages started to become clearer. During this time there was a lot of Spirit activity in the apartment. We would hold Circles in the Apartment, with friends, weekly. There were many different signs over the few years we did this.  We encountered an Appirition of an Angel appearing in a closet doorway.
The flame of a candle rose in  the image of a Wizard. See it perfectly too.
I think the best sign was when the empty Crystal candle holder lit itself ~ It broke from the heat of the flame. There was nothing to actually light , yet there was this flame. We all saw it and experienced the shattering of the crystal.

In a house in the countrythere was a very negative Spirit living within it. 
Of course, we were not advised of this. When we 1st moved in,  I kept smelling  blood in the master bathroom. I could not get rid of this smell ,not even with straight bleach.

Pictures would fly off walls,  all at the same time. A large heavy glass vase full of seashells just exploded one day for no reason.
There were usually  people in our home when this would happen. Scare them half to death. He was an Angry Spirit. It was originally his home. He was earth bound.He did not want anyone living there.
No matter how much I smudged or tried to help him move on , he stayed.
Needless to say , there were a few more strange encounters and we moved. 
That home never did stay lived in , and they could not even sell it.

I had a close friend, back years ago, she was having weird dreams and was told there was an old burial ground on her property.
I went into her woods to do a reading for her. It took us back, way back. When the land was pretty new still.
I received a family name. The family who originally had this land.
Their young daughter was kidnapped. This was connected to a Native American Warrior.
There are supposedly 3 graves on her land, but we could not find them. It is just too thickly wooded. This would make sense ~ Mother , Father , Daughter ?
Someone did some research on my reading. They  came back to let me know that I had been quite accurate , right down to the Family name.  I was pretty amazed with that.

In the late 90's I was living in  an apartment over the bar where I worked. It was convenient.  It was Haunted , too.
The three other apartments stayed empty most of the time.- Spirit Activity. 
The original owner had died in the bar, 4 years prior. His Spirit still walked the building every day. He loved Electronics ,as well as Candles. I used to have to tell him to stop ! 
He would light candles or blow them out. Turn on Stereo , VCR, Turn them off. 
If you were watching TV He would turn it off.Then, the Stereo would go on. He liked to turn speakers around backwards in the apartment next door and played with candles too.  He was very mischievous. You could hear the downstairs door open, close and footsteps coming up the stairs , but ~~ There was never anyone there. His daughter used to live in the Apartment next to mine. He would come up to check on her before opening for business.  I guess , he still was.  When I closed the bar at night, I used to leave him an offering- A Beer with A shot of Christian Brothers Brandy. This  was his drink of choice when alive. 

There have been times when I know I am alone, and yet , I hear someone call me.
I can be working and I will hear someone call my name -loudly,  yet nobody has called me, and no-one else ever hears this. I am used to it , but it is un-nerving when not expecting it.

I believe everybody can connect with Spirit. 
We all have the ability. It depends if we choose to use it ,develop it or ignore it. 

One of the saddest messages, was when I had a vivid dream, a few Months before my Gram passed. I saw her sitting at a table in a bar where I used to work.  The only other people were 1- My Mom- passed 1997 and My Boss- and Second Mom-passed-2004. They were all 3 sitting at a table together. I think this was their way of preparing me,  letting me know it was coming close to time for Gram to go.
She passed 2005. 

I did not receive any messages or warnings when my husband passed. Except for the sweet perfume or flowers that would come around him. It was totally unexpected and Quick , so , so quick.

I communicate well with Animals and Animal Spirit's,  I still receive visits every so often from a few of our cats. I also receive visits from a cat that belongs to the home or land here. I also have a Colonial woman all in white including her Bonnet. She walks or glides from the kitchen , across the sitting area and through the wall.

I have lost many people who are really important to me. Best Childhood friend- Heart Transplant. Husband _ Cancer, Cousins, Grandparents, Great- Grandparents, Parents, Friends, People I felt connected too.Pets, so many cats.

Now , there is  a place I go in dreams where we are all just living our daily lives.
It is a complete town. I think it may be alternate or Parallel lives ?
Family, friends and husband are all there along with living  people I do and do not know. I believe it is some sort of Psychic experience, or alternate life. I can not find much on these type of experiences in the dream state.

I have been a part of many Seances'. Public ,as well as private. 
If you ever have the chance to go to an open Circle ( Seance') ,you should go. 
Very Spiritual Experience. Sometimes messages are important or comforting.

 

As the sunflower turns its face toward light of the sun, so Spiritualism turns the face of humanity toward the light of truth.--Spiritualist motto. 
The sunflower is the symbol of Spiritualism.

In the early 90's I attended Psychic Development classes. I had already been reading cards for years.
I could use my abilities, but not to my fullest. I enjoyed the classes and the training helped me to channel my energies.
